Yes, we've opened the TRC Buenos Aires (called the Narayan Center). Due to everyone's effort, this center will be a place for anyone who wants to practice. On Saturday 12/04, Lama Josh will start teaching a six-month course on the Paramitas ! This is open to all, and a hearty recommendation if you want to learn how to become a Bodhisattva right now. 13/04 marks the Workshop so many of you have been clamoring for: Tibetan Elemental Astrology ! Both the Empowerment and the Monkey Puja for Sorcerous Activities . And finally, on 12/28 we'll have both our special operations ritual group  and the P-3 cohort . So, what's the unique requirements? Let me break those down. Dharmic Tarot As you know, Buddhadharma's not only a set of beliefs, but a meta-belief. That is, you can use the conceptual framework of Buddhadharma to understand and use different systems of magic and ritual. That's what happened in a lot of the history of Buddhism's expansion: Buddhism + Daoism = Zen, Buddhism + Confucianism = Won, etc. After teaching the I-Ching last month (which you can see below) ... ... we've been asked to explain how would you do the same for the Tarot. And we will. But, we require something of you. To calibrate the class, we require a reading from you. This class is both free and open for those who can answer the question "What is the secret desire behind my desire to take this class?" via a reading. You can use any tarot and any spread. But take a photo or a video and send it before 12/10 to trc@tantricsorcery.com We'll let you know by 12/13 if you're in and when it's going to take place. (those of you who solicited this, just write me to confirm it, you're in already) Hope to see you there! The Monkey King By now, you should know that Sun Wukong, the Victorious Fighting Buddha, has showed us an Upadesha. I will be giving his empowerment in December, as well as a special Puja for those of you who have already completed the accumulation (that is, not for those who just take the first empowerment; this will happen again soon, don't worry). But The Monkey King has asked for something else: a 13-moon cycle of practice for revealing more advanced practices. We will start next year, at the end of January. This will be a course for those who have completed the accumulation, so if you're starting now, you have 1.5 months to do so. You will be receiving a part of the Upadesha per month but be warned: there are both mantra and physical exercise requirements for this effort. At the end, you will get the complete Upadesha of Sun Wukong (if everyone completes the challenge and the Upadesha finishes revealing itself). It's a steep commitment; that's why we're letting you know with time. Think about it and next month you can let me know. As you can see, a pretty busy december, and the beginning of an intense year. This is a very special September, especially for Portland. In the hazy clutch of autumn's breath, where the Willamette sighs against concrete shores, a teaching stirs. Not of this land but carried on winds from the East, borne by one Lama Dorje Sherab, whose name rings foreign yet holds a promise of enlightenment to those who would listen. Sun Wukong. The Monkey King. A figure wreathed in myth and mischief, now transmuted into holy practice. He who was born of stone, who wreaked havoc in the halls of heaven, who journeyed west in penance and revelation. His tale is not of this continent, yet it echoes in the bones of all who've known rebellion and redemption. In the gray streets of Portland, where hipsters and holdouts mingle in uneasy truce, this ancient wisdom will unfold. It speaks of transformation, of the untamed mind harnessed to transcendent purpose. The Monkey King's journey from chaos to clarity, a path now offered to those who would walk it. But make no mistake. This is no gentle awakening. Sun Wukong's way is fraught with trials, each step a battle against the ego's clamoring din. It demands a fierceness of spirit, a willingness to confront the howling void within and emerge unbroken. It is a Sorcerer-Trickster path, fraught with danger. As September's chill settles over the city, those who heed the call will gather. In some nondescript room, perhaps adorned with symbols foreign to this land, they will sit. And in the space between breaths, in the silence between thoughts, they may catch a glimpse of that indomitable monkey spirit - wild, free, and ultimately, profoundly at peace. Ok, so. Get ready. This month will be fire . First, we'll soon have a weekly meeting time! Yes, we have heard what you've said and due to Chris' intervention and help (Thank you, Chris and everyone involved!) we'll have a weekly time to gather, practice together and hang out. Also, this month will have not one but two very special teachings, that open whole cycles that were never translated before. But let's get the general out of the way: New Languages We're adding Hindi now to our postings! Special teachings & travelling There's going to be two more major gatherings this year. One will be in September in Portland. The second is going to be in November in Mexico City. Stay tuned for details, but you might want to save some days to go there. New cohorts for the Paths This month not only are we going to have new cohorts of P-1  and P-2  but we're going to start the signing up process for P-3! . This is our most advanced level, where we teach the most advanced practices, save for the Lama Training. We'll cover the Shangpa  tradition on this Level, though in the future we'll also cover other traditions. Come to the Dalalailamapalooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooza! Oh, man. The Mara Roast this year was packed in every sense of the word. We had visions, strange Dakas materializing, Pujas in Pubs (great name for a punk band) and a lot of other adventures. You can read more about it here But it is behind us. Now, the work for the next Mara Roast starts. Now, the rest of the year looms large. And what a year remains. So, first, let's start from the general to the specific. New Languages Our site is fully translated into English, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese now! Special teachings & travelling There's going to be two more major gatherings this year. One will be in September in Portland. The second is going to be in November in Mexico City. Stay tuned for details, but you might want to save some days to go there. New cohorts for the Paths This month not only are we going to have new cohorts of P-1 and P-2 but we're going to start the signing up process for P-3! . This is our most advanced level, where we teach the most advanced practices, save for the Lama Training. We'll cover the Shangpa tradition on this Level, though in the future we'll also cover other traditions.
