About the event
Dudjom Lingpa (1835–1904) was a renowned Tibetan meditation master, spiritual teacher, and tertön (treasure revealer). Unique in his approach, he did not receive formal education, nor did he take ordination as a monk or align with any established Buddhist school of his time. Despite initial skepticism from his contemporaries, Dudjom Lingpa gained recognition as an authentic teacher after his disciples exhibited clear signs of spiritual maturity. He claimed to receive teachings on meditation and spiritual practice directly from non-physical masters, including Guru Rinpoche and Yeshe Tsogyal, as well as Bodhisattvas like Avalokitesvara and Manjushri.
Today, his teachings, particularly those on non-meditation (Dzogchen), are highly esteemed within the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. His influence persists through his teachings and literary works, making a significant impact on the practice and understanding of Tibetan Buddhism.
