About the event
As part of our fundraising effort for the Mara Roast 2024, we'll offer a complete empowerment of Buddha Nagarajah.
Buddha Nageshvara Raja, also known as Nagaraja (King of the Nagas), holds a significant place in Tibetan Buddhism. The term "Nageshvara Raja" translates to "the Enlightened One, King of Nagas," referring to a deity associated with the naga serpents.
Buddha Nageshvara Raja is celebrated for his special relationship with the naga serpents and is a part of the Thirty-five Confession Buddhas. He is worshiped and practiced particularly when diseases believed to be caused by nagas arise, reflecting his role in healing and protection against such afflictions. His lineage of teachers from India includes notable figures such as Buddha Nagendra Raja, Arya Nagarjuna, Chandrakirti, and Lord Dipamkara Atisha.
Also, this is the deity to practice if you want to have a non-adversarial relationship with Nagas.
